Range Riding Producer Tool Kit
Range riding is a long-used and flexible practice, making it a beneficial conflict reduction tool for use in diverse, ever-changing western landscapes. The overarching goal of range riding for predator conflict reduction is to monitor livestock and predator interactions and activity in order to plan and respond in a timely manner to minimize conflicts and mitigate the impacts of conflict. Given the context of each operation and landscape, range riding can vary from serving a specific role to a broader application, and may include the following activities.
This tool kit draws on the experience of producers and range riders from around the West to provide practical guidance to those hoping to trial or grow a range riding program.
