Angi Bruce

Chief Programs and Policy Officer

Prior to becoming WLA’s first Chief Programs and Policy Officer, Angi Bruce served as director of special policy initiatives for Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon, and was director of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department from 2024-2026. She has been instrumental in addressing complex fish and wildlife management issues, including oversight of significant projects such as migration corridors, sage grouse policy, wildlife crossings, USDA big game habitat pilot program and the development of the statewide mule deer conservation strategy. Angi joined WYGF in 2017 after serving in numerous roles for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, including as the game and fish habitat protection supervisor and assistant wildlife bureau chief, regional wildlife supervisor and private lands biologist.

Throughout her time in state government, Angi has led collaborative efforts both nation- and west-wide, including serving as chair of the Threatened and Endangered Species Committee with the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies and with the Sagebrush Initiative Committee at Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies. Angi grew up on a farm in Iowa and enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, kayaking and exploring the outdoors with her family.
