Rural Voices for Conservation Coalition 20th Annual Meeting
Stanford Sierra Conference Center 130 Fallen Leaf Road, South Lake Tahoe, CAThis year’s Annual Meeting will build upon the exciting work undertaken during RVCC’s 19th Annual Meeting, which explored the emerging vision for rural western communities rooted in the stewardship economy - an economy shaped by the need, and responsibility, to manage for the sustainability of both land and communities. What practices, strategies, investments and policies will lead to thriving landscapes and people in the face of shifting economic drivers and population trends, environmental challenges such as catastrophic wildfire and climate change, and historic levels of funding for conservation and rural communities? The National Grazing Lands Coalition (NatGLC) will host the 9th National Grazing Lands Conference on December 4-6, 2024, in Tucson, Arizona. The theme, Expanding Grazing Horizons, highlights the purpose of the conference:
Sharing innovative ideas and best practices
Connecting and renewing bonds of producers, partners and other stakeholders across the nation
Progressing toward the common goal of caring for and sustaining grazing lands
NatGLC is dedicated to providing voluntary ecologically and economically sound management of grazing lands for their adaptive uses and multiple benefits to the environment and society through science-based technical assistance, research, and education. This triennial conference serves as a platform for sharing knowledge, experiences, and innovative ideas among ranchers, researchers, policymakers, conservationists, industry professionals and other stakeholders.
