The Western Landowners Alliance is establishing a landowner working group to develop landowner-supported recommendations to address water shortages and improve water resource management in New Mexico. Join us for the first of our monthly discussions on Wednesday, 10/25 at 5pm via Zoom. 

Our first discussion will focus on the New Mexico specific results of the recently released WLA and University of Wyoming study on agricultural water users’ preferences for addressing water shortages in the Colorado River Basin. Future topics will be determined by the group and may include New Mexico’s Strategic Water Reserve, priorities of the New Mexico Water Policy & Infrastructure Task Force, process-based restoration, agricultural water conservation practices, and the connection between soil health and water.
