WLA Takes Action on Conservation Easement Incentive Act of 2015

Mountain Island Ranch

Every square inch of Colorado and Utah’s Mountain Island Ranch is under a conservation easement.

WLA Comments - Conservation Easement Incentive ActThis week, WLA reached out to Congress with a letter urging them to support legislation that would restore conservation easement tax incentives that expired on Jan. 1, 2015. Historically, these incentives have come with expiration dates requiring legislative action to maintain them.

The proposed bills (House text/Senate text) would make conservation easement incentives permanent for the first time, which is a big deal to conservation-minded landowners.
