Anabella Miller
Anabella is an ecologist passionate about conserving New Mexico’s wildlife, stunning landscapes, and people’s connection to the land. Having grown up in northern New Mexico, she learned about land stewardship from both an ecological and cultural perspective through everyday interactions in her backyard and with her community.
She recently earned a Master of Science in Natural Sciences from New Mexico Highlands University where she studied chytridiomycosis in a northern leopard frog population within a fire-impacted watershed. She also earned a BS in Biology from her hometown’s university where she had the opportunity to assist in projects studying puma diets, snapping turtle distribution, grasshopper communities, and boreal toad populations. She also has experience in grassland and watershed process-based restoration and education.
Anabella enjoys spending free time with her family and friends, doing genealogical research, and going on hikes with her partner and dogs.
