Over three million acres enrolled in general CRP

After nearly four years without a general signup, 3.4 million acres were recently enrolled in the Department of Agriculture’s Conservation Reserve Program (CRP). CRP is one of the largest private-lands conservation program in the United States. Thanks to voluntary participation by landowners, CRP has improved water quality, reduced soil erosion, and increased habitat for endangered and threatened species.
