Hiring: Colorado Open Lands

Join a leading land trust in the protection of a gorgeous part of rural Colorado as we work to implement innovative groundwater-focused conservation easements to support aquifer recovery in the Upper Rio Grande River Basin. The work of this position is concentrated in COL’s San Luis Valley priority landscape and is focused on conservation easements that support COL’s mission, including the development of groundwater-focused easements and other community-driven projects that support the resources, agricultural heritage, and recreation opportunities of the San Luis Valley.

Colorado Open Lands is a statewide land trust comprised of passionate, creative, collaborative professionals working to conserve the places that make Colorado special. If you have significant conservation easement experience and are looking to delve into ways to apply land conservation tools to community water challenges OR if you have an understanding of complex water issues and are looking to learn new skills and delve into land conservation, we want you! Position would be responsible for administering an NRCS RCPP grant, so familiarity with NRCS programs is a plus.The position is open until filled.
