Micaela McGibbon, who grew up on her family’s 55,000-acre King’s Anvil Ranch west of Tucson — a spread founded by her great grandfather, Manuel King, in 1895 — has been ranching all her life. Literally. And she wouldn’t have it any other way.
“You have to love it,” she notes, “because it is hard work … (but important, because) we wake up every day knowing that what we’re doing is feeding the nation.”
