The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is hiring a Migration Corridor Coordinator to develop, support and coordinate partnerships and technology transfers related to migration pathways and critical habitats. Migration corridors include, but not limited to, the implementation of Secretarial Order 3362 Improving Habitat Quality in Western Big Game Winter Range and Migration Corridors. An effective Coordinator will create, guide, facilitate, and nurture interdependent networks among the State fish and wildlife and conservation agencies, Tribal Partners, sister bureaus in the Department of Interior, Service programs, USDA, and others to support landscape-scale approaches to the management of migration pathways.
The position will be a non-supervisory, GS-0401-13 and housed within the Partners for Fish and Wildlife (PFW) program in the Mountain-Prairie Region. The duty-station location is negotiable with the supervisor, provided the location is within the Mountain-Prairie Region states (CO, KS, MT, NE, ND, SD, UT, or WY), co-located with PFW program staff, and in reasonable proximity to an airport. The position is telework eligible with supervisor approval, but is not eligible for remote work.
