New Mexico Conservation Stewardship Program

Applications for the Conservation Stewardship Program are accepted year-round. The deadline for the next funding period will be announced at least 30 days before the application deadline.

The deadline for fiscal year 2025 general or “classic” sign-up and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) for CSP  is February 7, 2025. The deadline for FY 2025 renewals is May 3, 2024.

Note: NRCS NM is utilizing our authority to apply ACT NOW to quickly evaluate and fund applications for CSP. All eligibility requirements for CSP must be met. Eligible applications received prior to Fiscal Year 2024 Application Deadlines, will be evaluated and scored in Act Now fund pools. The following Fund Pools are Act Now pools:

If the application and receives a threshold score of 50 or higher, it will be immediately offered a potential contract in the pools below:

NIPF SD
NIPF BFR
IRA NIPF
IRA NIPF BFR
IRA NIPF SD

If the application receives a threshold score of 80 or higher, it will be immediately offered a potential contract in the pool below:

IRA AgLand BFR

If the application receives a threshold score of 90 or higher, it will be immediately offered a potential contract in the pool below:
