Spring 2024 State of the River Meeting – Middle Colorado River
May 7 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm MDT
The Colorado River District’s State of the River meetings are a spring tradition in Western Colorado. Learn about river forecasts, local water projects, and western water issues. All events are free to the public and include a light dinner. Registration is required.
Hosted by the Colorado River District and local partnership organizations across our fifteen-county District, the State of the River event series is a spring tradition in Western Colorado. Originally designed to give residents a peek at upcoming water forecasts, these casual, public-information events include a look at the upcoming hydrology, a summary of major western water issues, and a spotlight on projects and priorities of each local community.
Held in the evenings in local community spaces, State of the River meetings welcome anyone with an interest in these critical issues, regardless of their previous background in water-related conversations.
Registration is required for these free events with dinners provided. While each night’s program will vary slightly, we strive to leave time for public Q&A, and many of our presenters are available before and after for specific questions. If there are local water issues or projects worth celebrating that you would like to see featured at your community’s State of the River meeting, please include that information in the registration form.
