Roots and Rivers: The crucial connection between forests and watersheds
July 26 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm MDT
Join our webinar spotlighting several collaborative forest health initiatives and the work they are doing to protect and enhance critical headwaters in the West. We will hear from the Blackfoot Challenge in Montana, the 2-3-2 Partnership in Colorado and New Mexico, and the Headwaters of the Colorado Initiative in Colorado and Wyoming. Each group will share information on their efforts to enhance watershed health through forest health projects, helping participants better understand the intersection of healthy forests and healthy rivers, and how that work thus benefits all water users. During the webinar, we’ll hear from collaborative group leaders and landowners who have successfully leveraged their voices to secure partnerships and funding for watershed projects in their own backyard.
If you’re looking for ways to get involved in your own watershed, or are curious to know how other landowners are improving theirs, join us for this panel and gain insights into the science, partnerships, and projects of a regional watershed collaborative.
