Kurt Holtzen was born in Idaho and is from a 5th homesteading generation AG family and has been involved in the family cow/calf operation and large sheep range operations.

Kurt has been involved in multi species wildlife conflict mitigation for nearly 30 years from Grizzly and Black bear in the greater Yellowstone ecosystem to 15 years of Wolf/sheep conflict mitigation in Central Idaho and since 2020 he has been involved with helping to prepare Colorado livestock producers for Wolf reintroduction
