Alysha Shaw

State Policy Coordinator

Alysha coordinates state policy for the Western Landowners Alliance, working to enact sound policies that conserve our working lands and promote the interests of our members. She previously served as the Director of Constituent Services at the New Mexico State Land Office, where she ensured that the agency was responsive and engaged with its numerous constituencies, the largest of which was agricultural lessees. Alysha has over a decade of experience leading successful issue advocacy, community outreach, and communications campaigns. She holds a B.A. in politics and interdisciplinary art from the College of Santa Fe and an M.F.A. in art and social practice from Portland State University.

Alysha has lived in New Mexico since 2005, and she is passionate about conserving the extensive landscapes, ecosystems, and traditions that make the American West unlike anywhere else on the planet. She enjoys camping, fishing, gardening, hiking, biking, and playing music in her free time.
