SUMMARY:Recreation Management for Working Lands
DESCRIPTION:Recreation is growing across the West\, bringing both new opportunities and new pressures for working lands. Join Western Landowners Alliance on July 16 at noon MT for a practical conversation about recreation management and a new partnership between WLA and Infinite Outdoors. Together\, WLA and Infinite Outdoors are exploring how landowners can create well-managed recreation access that supports land stewardship\, strengthens rural economies\, and keeps landowner needs at the center. \nThis webinar will feature John Kelly of Infinite Outdoors\, Kelsee Taylor\, WLA’s Conservation Finance Director\, and a WLA member and participating Infinite Outdoors landowner. Speakers will discuss key questions landowners should ask when entering a recreation partnership or considering adding recreation as an income stream for their property. They’ll also dive into how the partnership between WLA and Infinite Outdoors works\, what it offers to landowners\, and how thoughtful recreation access can help keep working lands whole\, healthy\, and productive for people\, wildlife\, and future generations.

SUMMARY:Agrivoltaics Webinar: Other CDA Agrivoltaics Grantees: Projects & Implementation
DESCRIPTION:Agrivoltaics is the co-location of agricultural activities within a solar array whereby the microclimates of the solar panels impact the growth\, health\, and production of crops and livestock. The Colorado Agrivoltaic Learning Center is providing a series of discussions about agrivoltaics highlighting various professionals engaged in or adjacent to the field of agrivoltaics. We center our discussions on the outlook for agrivoltaics specifically in Colorado\, though certain aspects of agrivoltaic designs or operations can be extrapolated to other areas of the country. \nJoin the Colorado Agrivoltaic Learning Center for the next installment of our webinar series as we highlight projects funded through the Colorado Department of Agriculture’s Agrivoltaics Grant Program. \nThis webinar will feature grantees from across Colorado who are putting agrivoltaics into practice in unique ways. Presenters will share their projects\, discuss lessons learned during implementation\, highlight successes and challenges\, and offer insights that can help inform future agrivoltaic efforts across the state. \nWhether you’re a farmer or rancher\, solar developer\, researcher\, policymaker\, educator\, student\, or simply interested in innovative land stewardship\, this webinar offers an opportunity to learn directly from organizations advancing agrivoltaics in Colorado. \nTotal run time of this webinar will be no more than 90 minutes.
