SUMMARY:NRCS Regenerative Pilot Program: Making It Work for Your Operation
DESCRIPTION:Western Landowners Alliance is hosting an upcoming webinar on the USDA NRCS Regenerative Agriculture Pilot Program and what it means for producers across the West. The webinar will provide an overview of NRCS’s new regenerative pilot effort\, which is designed to support producers in adopting conservation practices that improve soil health\, water quality\, and overall working lands resilience. The program builds on existing NRCS tools and programs\, such as conservation planning and financial assistance\, to better support whole-farm\, systems-based approaches to management. \nParticipants will hear directly from NRCS leadership\, including Eric McTaggart\, National Regenerative Pilot Coordinator\, who brings extensive experience in conservation planning and program delivery\, as well as Jackie Byam\, Wyoming State Conservationist\, and Andi Neugebauer-Bailey\, Wyoming State Resource Conservationist. Together\, they will share insights into how the pilot is being implemented\, how it fits within existing NRCS programs\, and what producers can expect when engaging with the effort. \nThe webinar will also feature producers with firsthand experience implementing conservation practices\, offering practical\, on-the-ground perspectives about what works\, what challenges to expect\, and how these practices can benefit agricultural operations in western landscapes.

SUMMARY:Grassland CRP Informational Webinar
DESCRIPTION:  \n \nLease your land for habitat with Grassland CRP\, enrollment open through May 29th. \nThe USDA has opened enrollment for the Grassland Conservation Reserve Program (Grassland CRP)\, offering landowners an opportunity to receive annual payments for maintaining and improving working grasslands. Unlike traditional CRP\, Grassland CRP functions more like a habitat lease. Producers can graze and hay while maintaining grassland habitat for wildlife. The program can help generate supplemental income while supporting both agricultural productivity and conservation\, particularly for rangeland operations. \nWe’re hosting a webinar to walk through theprogram and how to apply\, rental rates\, and perspectives from agency staff and landowners who have experience in the program.

SUMMARY:Ranchers Face Another Dry Year: Live\, Virtual Panel to Tackle High‑Stakes Drought Decisions
DESCRIPTION:Good Grazing Make Cent$ is hosting a free virtual panel\, “When in Drought (2.0) – Making Tough Decisions Count\,” on May 27 at 7 p.m. (MST). The live discussion will stream on Facebook\, YouTube\, and Instagram\, and will be driven largely by questions from ranchers tuning in. \nThe panel will focus on the real‑world drought decisions that directly affect ranch profitability and long‑term viability: how to protect rangeland health and grazing capacity under pressure\, how unprecedented cattle markets should influence drought strategies\, and how to keep a ranch operating when dry years stack up.

SUMMARY:Regenerative Land Stewardship for Wildlife & Habitat
DESCRIPTION:Regenerative Land Stewardship for Wildlife & Habitat is a hands-on academy exploring the relationship between soil health\, regenerative land management\, and thriving wildlife habitat. This academy is designed for ranchers\, land managers\, conservationists\, and outdoor enthusiasts who want to better understand how healthy soil supports resilient ecosystems and wildlife populations. \nHosted at CS Ranch in Cimarron\, New Mexico\, this academy focuses specifically on wildlife and the landscapes they depend on — examining how regenerative principles can improve habitat quality\, plant diversity\, water availability\, and long-term ecosystem function.

SUMMARY:Public Lands Grazing Reform: What’s Changing and Why It Matters for the West
DESCRIPTION:Are you curious about the grazing changes underway on public lands? \nMajor reforms are taking shape at the Departments of the Interior and Agriculture. From a new memorandum of understanding between the Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Forest Service (USFS) aimed at improving coordination of grazing management\, to proposed reforms to BLM grazing regulations\, a lot is happening that could have significant implications for ranchers\, land managers and the future of public lands. \nGrazing is an important tool for managing forests and rangelands\, supporting rural economies\, reducing wildfire risk\, while also producing food and fiber. Yet outdated grazing regulations have limited the ability of land managers and producers to achieve desired outcomes and respond to variable conditions like drought\, wildfire\, and shifting forage availability. Rangeland management has evolved significantly over the years\, and so too should our policies\, which have lagged behind advances in grazing science which benefit landscape health. \nJoin us for an engaging conversation with Brenda Younkin\, BLM Deputy Assistant Secretary\, Gilbert Jackson\, USFS Rangeland Management Program Manager\, and a stakeholder panel to talk about these policy developments\, the goals behind them\, and what they mean for grazing on public lands. \nRegister today to join the discussion.
