Western Ranch Management and Ecosystem Stewardship Summer Field Course
July 28 - August 6$2200
This 4-week (July 14-July 23 and July 28-August 6)class is being offered by the Department of Forest and Rangeland Stewardship at Colorado State University for degree and non-degree seeking students. The field course will be held across 10 ranches in southern Colorado and northern New Mexico, and designed to introduce students to the variety of ways in which ranch operations in the Rocky Mountain West are tailored to support ecosystem processes, foster lasting protection of the land, and achieve economic sustainability. Students will engage with a number of ranch managers and experts in the many different fields of natural resource managers.
The cost of the course is approximately $2,200 for both degree and non-degree seeking students. Travel, lodging and food for the duration of the course will be provided. We hope to generate some additional fellowships from partnering organizations/foundations that will help off-set these costs but cannot yet confirm any opportunities. If you know of an organization or foundation that is interested in contributing to a fellowship fund, please contact me at email@example.com
Please have potential students check our website for announcements and course and enrollment information. Additional inquiries on the course can be directed to Tony Vorster at anthony.vorster@colostate.
